You would like an alert to appear in your live stream when someone makes a donation to your campaign?
Note: to add a donation alert, you must use an external Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), like OBS Studio or Streamlabs OBS.
Follow these steps to configure donation alerts:
1. Log in to your Fundky Connect account on fundky.live. Click on Login at the top right and follow the steps to log in.
2. Once you’re logged in, click on your name at the top right of the page, and then select Dashboard from the menu that appears.
3. Click on Streamer Overlays in the menu on the left.
4. You’ll automatically land in the Alert Settings. Under Donation Alerts, you can customize your alerts:
- Widget URL
This key is meant to be kept private by the streamer. Copy this URL and paste it into your external OBS to link your alerts.
To copy the widget URL, click on this icon:
- LIVE campaign
Choose the LIVE charity stream on which you want the alerts to appear.
- Preview Background Color
The background color is used for the widget preview only! Choose a color that is similar to the background of your Alerts on-stream to have a good idea of the final look.
- Alert Delay
Set the number of seconds before a donation alert shows on stream.
- Alert Layout
Click on the dropdown menu to choose how you want your alert to be displayed. You can choose from several preset layouts.
- Alert Animations
You can choose how your alert comes in stream and how it disappears. You can set a different animation for the Alert Intro (when the alert appears) and for the Alert Outro (when it disappears from the stream).
- Alert Message
Write the message that will appear on-stream when someone donates. Use the personalization fields to customize the alert to each donation. You can use {amount}, {name} and {message} as customization parameters.
- Text Color
Choose the color of your alert’s text.
Advice: add a drop shadow to your text for a better reading experience (from your OBS).
Example:
- Alert Font and Dynamic values font
Choose the font of your alert’s text by choosing a font from the dropdown menu. You can also choose how big you want the text to appear by defining a size in pixels and a style (light, normal or bold).
Important: your text size must be from 12 pixels to 80 pixels, and be a multiple of 4 (ex: 12px, 16px, 20px, etc.)
- Text Stroke
You can outline (add a border to) your alert’s text. Adding text-stroke can help make your text bolder, or just more fun! You can choose the stroke’s color and thickness.
Important: if you do not add a pixel value, the stroke will not show.
- Text Animation
You can choose how your text will be animated when a donation alert shows up. You can select an animation from the dropdown menu.
Advice: we recommend that you animate each letter individually for a better result (from your OBS).
- Alert Image
Choose your alert’s image by clicking on Choose file. The uploaded image will be displayed with your alert text according to the chosen alert layout.
Example of layout “text right of picture” with an uploaded image:
- Alert Duration
The number of seconds the donation alert will be displayed on stream. By default, the alert lasts 10 seconds, but you can go up to 30 seconds.
5. Don’t forget to click on the SAVE button at the bottom of the page to save your settings!
Congrats, you’ve customized your donation alerts! 😁
